Vice Chair of the Board
Retired Johnson & Johnson Executive Vice President and General Counsel Michael Ullmann joined the Americares board in 2019 and was elected vice chair in 2025.
Mr. Ullmann retired from Johnson & Johnson in 2023 after serving 11 years as executive vice president and general counsel, leading the company’s global legal and government affairs operations as well as environmental, social and governance strategy, intellectual property, corporate governance and risk management areas of data privacy.
He joined Johnson & Johnson in 1989 and worked his way up through numerous management positions, including serving as general counsel of the company’s Worldwide Medical Devices and Diagnostics business.
Before he joined Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Ullmann practiced law in New York City.
Mr. Ullmann currently serves on the Princeton Area Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees as Vice Chair, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Visiting Committee on Sponsored Research and MIT Corporation Development Committee and the Naples Zoo Board of Directors. He also sits on the Board of Managers of the bio pharma company Cytogel.
