Stamford, Conn. March 21, 2025 – Emmy-Winning TV Host and Producer Ross Mathews—best known for The Drew Barrymore Show and RuPaul’s Drag Race—will host the 2025 Americares Airlift Benefit on Friday, April 4, in New York City. The benefit will celebrate the organization’s mission to increase access to health in times of disaster and every day.

Mathews, an American television host and personality, rose to fame as a correspondent for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He has also appeared on Celebrity Fit Club, The Insider, Celebrity Big Brother and as a weekly panelist on Chelsea Lately. Mathews won an outstanding producer Emmy in 2022 for RuPaul’s Drag Race.

“I am truly humbled to serve as the host for this year’s Airlift Benefit and to support the incredible work Americares is doing all over the world,” Mathews said. “Through their lifesaving health programs and crucial deliveries of medicines and medical supplies, Americares is making a lasting impact.”

Americares Board Member and Actor, Director, Producer Tony Goldwyn and Americares Board Member and CNN Anchor and National Correspondent Erica Hill will also take the stage as special presenters.

“We’re very excited to have Ross Mathews host the 2025 Americares Airlift Benefit, infusing the evening with his incredible energy and commitment to giving back,” said Americares President and CEO Christine Squires. “Ross’ presence is sure to inspire generosity and help us bring health and hope to more people in crisis around the globe.”

The benefit, produced by STAMP Event Co., will take place at Pier Sixty with cocktails, dinner, dancing and inspirational stories about the impact Americares is making across the United States and around the world. Hill and David Yount are co-chairing the benefit along with fellow board member Joy Weintz, Dr. Eric Weintz, Sara Clinger, Benjamin Clinger, Alexa Horton and Ward Horton.

The next morning, a group of guests will depart for a unique 48-hour journey to El Salvador, where Americares operates a family clinic that provides low-cost, quality health services for underserved families throughout the region. Guests on the airlift will spend a day at the clinic, taking part in volunteer activities and meeting local health workers, patients and community leaders.

Founded by Americares in 2003, the Clínica Integral de Atención Familiar is a lifeline for tens of thousands of patients, providing comprehensive care across dozens of specialties. Americares also has a long history of responding to earthquakes, major storms, landslides and other emergencies throughout the country.

A leader in the humanitarian sector, Americares is No. 8 on Forbes 2024 list of Top 100 Charities and a four-star rated charity—the highest possible—by Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. Americares helps communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters; increase accessibility, availability, affordability and acceptability of medicine and medical supplies; improve and expand health services; and prevent disease and promote good health. Since it was established in 1979, Americares has provided over $23 billion in aid to 164 countries, including the United States.
